Around 80 travel agents attended the event to find out about the latest developments in the industry
More than 120 professionals from the tourism sector gathered last Thursday at the CEAV Protour 2026 workshop with the aim of establishing and maintaining direct contact between travel agencies and suppliers. The event took place at the NH Collection Finisterre Hotel, where industry representatives had the opportunity to share experiences and concerns about the future, as well as discover new initiatives.
The CEAV Protour tour marked its fifth edition in Galicia and its fourth in A Coruña, attracting around 80 local travel agents and 40 exhibitors. Some of the topics discussed included the latest developments from airlines, insurers, shipping companies, tourist destinations and service providers in the sector.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Director of Tourism at the Department of Culture and Tourism of A Coruña, Nacho Dopico, who emphasised that "establishing relationships between agencies, suppliers and public authorities is an important step towards continuing to grow and positioning A Coruña as one of Spain's major tourist destinations". Dopico was joined by the president of the Spanish Confederation of Travel Agencies (CEAV), Carlos Garrido; the president of the Galician Association of Travel Agencies (AGAVI), Mar Rodríguez; and the vice-president of the Provincial Council of A Coruña and councillor for Tourism Promotion, Crafts, Trade and the Agri-Food Chain, Xosé Regueira.
The CEAV Protour is a project run by the CEAV (Spanish Confederation of Travel Agencies) in collaboration with A Coruña City Council, A Coruña Provincial Council, MEGA Mundo Estrella Galicia and the AGAVI association.
