The sailing pilgrims of the 2023 edition of "Sail the way", with more than a hundred participants on board, will arrive in A Coruña tomorrow afternoon, Thursday 22 June
A Coruña is dressed in blue with the presence in the city of the sea pilgrims participating this year in the sustainable blue tourism experience "El Camino a Vela" and who will arrive at around 17:00 on Thursday 22nd June at the Real Club Náutico.
On Friday, 23rd June, coinciding with St. John's Day, the Galician city will be putting on a full programme of activities to show its involvement in promoting sustainable blue tourism and raising awareness of education and the blue economy in which it is framed.
After a breakfast offered at 10:00 h in the Real Club Nautico to the pilgrims where credentials will be stamped, the official presentation of the Blue Education Association will be held at the headquarters of the Port Authority from 11:00 h.
In the afternoon, the pilgrims by sea will enjoy an excursion to visit the emblematic Tower of Hercules, accompanied by representatives of the City Council of A Coruña, through A Coruña Tourist Board.
Since their arrival on the Galician coast, on Sunday 18 June, the pilgrims of "Sail the way" have stopped in Ribadeo and Cedeira. After passing through A Coruña, they will continue their journey to Santiago where they will arrive on June 29, passing in the coming days by Muxía, Muros, Boiro and Vilagarcía de Arousa, where they will go up the river Ulla, emulating the Traslatio. Finally, they will walk the last stage, from Padrón to Santiago, to complete the eighth edition of this sustainable blue tourism experience.
